Description
Dr Daniel Donachie is a veterinarian who works as a Programme Manager- Emergency Management in the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) Preparedness and Resilience Department. His background includes working in mixed animal private practice in the UK and working for the UK’s Animal Plant Health Agency as a Senior Veterinary Inspector in a field role delivering state veterinary medicine. In 2018, he was seconded to the European Commission for the Control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease where he worked on emergency preparedness and simulation exercises in the Balkan region. He joined the OIE in April 2019 where he coordinates an international project with FAO and INTERPOL aimed at building multi-sectoral resilience against agro-crime and agro-terrorism.
