Head Wildlife Diseases and Game Meat
Count Prof. Torsten Mörner is Vice-President of the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC). He is also Head of the Specialist Group for Wildlife Diseases under the CIC Applied Science Division. He is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine by training and was State Veterinarian at the National Veterinary Institute in Sweden from 1982-2019. He is considered as a leading expert on wildlife diseases. He was also the President of the Swedish Hunters Association from 2007-2012, and President of the CIC Policy and Law Division from its start in 2008 until 2011, and more recently also led the OIE Working Group on Wildlife.
